German Industrial Standard - Recommended Maximum Torque for Bolts and Nuts
1. The above is the German industrial standard, the torque value in the table is measured when the bolt reaches 70% of the yield limit.
2. It is recommended that the locking torque value is the value in the table x (70~80)%.
For example: M48 8.8 grade bolts locking torque value is: 3920x80% = 3136NM
3. The loosening torque is 1.5~2 times of the locking torque;
For example: the above example of locking torque of 3136NM, then its loosening torque of about 3136x(1.5~2)=4704-6272NM
